6–8 medium apples, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted), 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss them with lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and melted butter until a crumbly texture forms.
- Spread the apple mixture in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the topping evenly over it.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the apples are tender.
- Let it cool before serving.
