Instructions
- Marinate the Proteins:
- Combine chicken and shrimp with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Sear chicken pieces for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from skillet.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the Vegetables:
- Add bell peppers and onions to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Make the Sauce:
- Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet. Add butter and flour, whisking until smooth. Gradually pour in chicken broth, stirring constantly.
