Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mash the 2 ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the banana mixture and stir gently until just combined.
If desired, fold in chocolate chips or walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
